In a landmark step toward enhancing gender representation in India's security forces, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the creation of an all-women battalion for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). With plans underway for a comprehensive training program, this battalion will empower women personnel with the skills and resilience needed to excel in diverse operational roles.This initiative aligns with the existing 200,000 personnel cap for the force, ensuring it remains within the approved budgetary framework for 2024–25 and subsequent years.The battalion will receive extensive training for leadership roles, strengthening the force's capacity to respond to security demands in high-stakes situations ~ The training course will concentrate on managing airport security, protecting VIPs, and specialized duties within the Delhi Metro Rail system.
