As the sun dips behind the trees and the air fills with the rustle of leaves, a quiet transformation is taking place in Noida’s Sector-91. At the heart of the city, a new deer park and sunset safari are set to open — offering residents a rare chance to experience wildlife up close, without leaving the city. Blending nature, serenity, and discovery, this urban escape promises to become a new favourite for families, nature lovers, and curious explorers alike.
A Sanctuary for Deer and Learning
This 30-acre mini-zoo, developed with a budget of Rs 40 crores, will be home to 132 deer from 10 different species. Some of these gentle creatures were rescued from airports, while others will come from a new rescue center near the Dhanauri Wetland. The park will also feature deer from zoos in Kanpur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad, including exotic African species like the Springbok, Impala, Wildebeest, and Lesser Kudu
The initiative for Noida's deer park and sunset safari was spearheaded by the Noida Authority, with Dr. Lokesh M, CEO, playing a pivotal role in its development. The construction of this innovative project will be undertaken through a tender process, ensuring that expert agencies with a passion for wildlife conservation and park development are at the helm.
With a focus on creating a safe and natural habitat for the deer, the project is set to become a landmark attraction in Noida, promoting wildlife awareness, education, and conservation. The Noida Authority's commitment to making cities greener and more animal-friendly is evident in this ambitious project, which promises to delight visitors of all ages.
Expert Guidance for Animal Comfort
A retired District Forest Officer (DFO) will work as an advisor to ensure the park's design prioritizes animal safety and comfort. Special lighting systems will be installed to mimic natural evening environments, allowing visitors to observe the deer without disturbing them. This thoughtful design will create a haven for both animals and wildlife enthusiasts. The highlight of this park will be the sunset safari, a first-of-its-kind experience in Noida. Visitors can explore the deer park as the sun sets, observing these magnificent creatures in a unique and breathtaking setting. With special spectrum lighting, the park will remain open until 10 pm, offering an unparalleled opportunity to connect with nature and wildlife.
Noida: A Thriving City Benefiting from Wildlife Conservation
Noida, a planned city in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India, is home to a diverse population of over 637,000 people, according to the 2011 census. As a hub for technology, education, and industry, Noida's residents are increasingly looking for opportunities to connect with nature and wildlife. The new deer park and sunset safari will provide a unique recreational space for the city's residents, promoting stress relief, education, and community bonding. By introducing people, especially children, to the wonders of wildlife, the park will foster a sense of responsibility and appreciation for conservation. This initiative will not only enhance the quality of life for Noida's residents but also contribute to the city's growing reputation as a green and sustainable urban center .
Conservation and Education
This innovative project is not just about providing a recreational space; it's also about conservation and education. By rescuing and protecting animals, the park aims to promote wildlife awareness and appreciation. Dr. Lokesh M, CEO of the Noida Authority, emphasizes that this park will be a significant step towards making cities like Noida greener and more animal-friendly.
As Noida's first deer park and sunset safari, this project is poised to become a landmark attraction. With its unique blend of wildlife conservation, education, and recreation, it's set to captivate the hearts of nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
