In a remarkable display of artistic activism, Kodavaluri Prasanna, a 25-year-old artist from Proddatur town in Andhra Pradesh, is using her paintings to advocate for the protection of nature and trees. Prasanna, who has a passion for fine arts, has been creating awareness through her portraits of famous personalities, drawing attention to the importance of nature conservation.
Under the logo "Vruksho Rakshati Rakshitah" (Save Trees, Save Earth), Prasanna has dedicated the past four years to her mission. Her paintings include portraits of renowned figures such as Padma Shree awardee Timmakka, former Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, former Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, and several film stars, musicians, and politicians.
Prasanna believes that by capturing the attention of admirers of these celebrities, she can effectively instill the idea of tree preservation in their minds. Her artwork serves as a powerful medium to convey the message of environmental responsibility and inspire others to protect and conserve nature.
Expressing her motivation, Prasanna said, "My interest in painting sprouted during my childhood. I wanted to use my skill for a good cause and came up with the idea of creating awareness among people about nature conservation through my paintings." She further revealed her plans to launch a sapling planting campaign in various locations to further promote environmental awareness.
Through her artistic talent and dedication, Prasanna has become a beacon of inspiration for the youth of Andhra Pradesh, showcasing the power of art in advocating for a sustainable and greener future.
