The lead-up to this historic day has been filled with spiritual fervor, as PM Modi embarked on a pilgrimage to temples in south India with deep connections to the Ramayana. An 11-day Anushthan preceded the consecration, culminating in a heartfelt worship at a Lord Ram shrine near Arichal Munai, where the Prime Minister paid floral tributes at the seashore.
Labour of Love
In the background of this grand celebration, the magnitude of the temple's construction cannot be overstated. Over 4000 workers toiled day and night, creating an architectural marvel without the use of metal or concrete. The sheer dedication to preserving tradition and history is evident in every aspect of the temple, from its design to the craftsmanship.
Commemorating History
Adding to the excitement are a series of breathtaking commemorative postage stamps that have been released, immortalizing this moment in history.
