Virat Kohli Scores his First Double Century
The opening test against West Indies, being played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, undoubtedly belongs to the Indian Captain Virat Kohli. He made batting look so easy and entertained everyone by scoring his first double-hundred in test matches. He also created history by becoming the first Indian captain to score a double-ton abroad. His 200 came off 283 balls. The Indian cricket team continued its domination over the hosts by amassing 566 runs before declaring their innings. The West Indies bowling attack was ordinary and they were very sloppy on the field. To achieve such a massive total for India, Virat Kohli was aptly supported by Ravichandran Ashwin who scored his third test century.
