The Curious Case of Poland's Crooked Trees: An Unsolved Mystery

Locating Poland's Most Coolest Location ~  In Poland, amidst a forest of towering pines, an intriguing sight awaits curious onlookers: a cluster of approximately one hundred crooked pine trees stands in stark contrast to their straight-laced counterparts. There are perhaps one hundred crooked pine trees. The fact that the crooked one is surrounded by straight pine trees just serves to accentuate how strange this is. Further information about the trees may be found on a sign (available only in Polish). The uneven pine trees were planted in 1930, during the German occupation of this region of Poland. The trees veer abruptly northward at a slight elevation above the ground. From the base, the pine trees grow with a 90-degree sharp bend northward but then curve back to grow straight up into the sky. Despite the unnatural curves bending three to nine feet sideways at their bases, these trees are generally healthy and grow up to 50 feet tall. It appears surreal and interesting. In most cases, visitors had to touch a single tree to confirm its authenticity. The Enigma Surrounding the Crooked Forest ~  ( Source: Google Images)  The woodland is shrouded in so much mystery. It's nearly palpable in the air. It resembles a typical forest, except for around 100 trees that have altered the way trees should develop. It's even more awesome because no one knows for sure how this phenomenon originated! Numerous websites exist to discover the causes, but the variety of hypotheses on the crooked trees, or "Krzywy Las," is rather restricted. Why Are The Trees Crooked?  The trees grew in this manner due to variations in gravitational forces, which caused gravity to go crazy haywire. This is a really strange notion because gravity pulls things downward, not to the sides. Though some individuals think this is what happened here, there is no evidence to support this idea. The trees' form may have gotten twisted if there had been a lot of snow on them and they kept growing. On the other hand, how come none of the other trees that surround the crooked tree are crooked if this argument is correct? Was it the only place the snow was? Put it down to the War: During World War II, tanks ran over and destroyed trees. As they grew bigger, the injury caused them to become crooked. I The most plausible hypothesis is that they are man-made. Considering how constant the trees are, this makes logical. It is believed that the trees were planted and tended to by the nearby farmers to use them as building materials. However, analysis indicates that the trees were approximately seven to ten years old when they underwent the force that caused their trunk curvature. The town of Gryfino was largely abandoned between the early stages of World War II and the 1970s, so the people who lived there before the war and likely had the answer to the mystery of the Crooked Forest are probably no longer with us. Despite this, many have been searching for an answer to this mystery! Into The Unknown ~ Magnificent natural formations may be found in every part of the earth. Some are widely recognized. Others are lurking in the deepest recesses of the seas and rainforests, unexplored. Certain occurrences are unique to distant and exotic locations. Few scientific procedures are so astounding that they almost defy belief. For example, most antibiotics were originally discovered in very innocuous soil microorganisms. It's quite likely that the astounding genetic diversity of the viral world contains amazing molecular components about which we now know nothing. The Enormous Underwater Sinkhole :The Great Blue Hole, Belize.

Situated only 60 miles (100 kilometers) off the coast of Belize, THE GREAT BLUE HOLE is an undersea sinkhole that scientists think is the biggest of its type. ( Sources: Google Images) It is round, over 300 meters (984 feet) wide, and 125 meters (410 feet) deep. It is distinguished by its deep blue hue. It is located in the middle of an atoll known as Lighthouse Reef, where a small lagoon with bright blue seas is surrounded by a coral island. Parts of the ring enclosing the dark blue sinkhole have even been known to break the surface at low tide due to the extremely shallow water levels there. When sea levels were significantly lower during the previous glacial epoch, the sinkhole first developed as a limestone cave. The cave system flooded and finally collapsed as the ocean level rose, forming a "vertical cave" in the water. Because of this, divers frequent the location to witness the geological structures that are now submerged in the water. Embarking on a journey to Bhutan is no ordinary experience. Kanchenjunga, and the awe-inspiring Mt. Gangkhar Puensum adorning the horizon, every moment of the flight is nothing short of mesmerizing. But it's not just the natural wonders that captivate; it's the skill of the pilots, maneuvering through narrow valleys to reach the elusive Paro International Airport, that adds a touch of adventure to the journey. Situated in a profound valley, the single-runway airport at Paro is encircled by jagged peaks rising to a height of 5,486 meters. It was constructed in 1961 CE next to the Paro Chhu River's edge. The numerous dwellings strewn over the mountainside must be avoided by planes, which must maneuver around them to avoid cutting off the roofs by a few feet. It is regarded as the world's most hazardous landing. The flight into Paro is not for the faint-hearted, but you will catch a glimpse of the famous Tiger's Nest Monastery constructed in 1692 CE. While much of Bhutan's early history is enmeshed in Buddhist mythology and tradition, Guru Rinpoche was a Buddhist teacher who lived in the eighth century CE and founded the Drukpa school of Buddhism, which is being practiced in Bhutan today. The first thing you notice when you get off the boat at Paro and cross the tarmac is the air, which is sharp, and the houses, which are white-washed stone with painted wood lintels that have an odd mix of old and new. A Stunning Landscape ~  The gorgeous but meandering trip from Paro to the capital city of "Thimphu" takes around an hour or forty-five minutes, depending on how quickly the people navigate the roads. Prayer flags of various colors are scattered throughout the countryside, waving in the wind. They are made for the deceased or engraved with prayers, mantras, and lucky symbols. They are strung between trees and bridges or hung on long wooden poles. Because the Bhutanese believe that their quiet prayers would be dispersed by the wind at the pace of a horse, prayer flags are known as lung ta, or wind horses. Numerous amazing facts exist regarding Thimphu. It is one of just two Asian capital cities without traffic signals. Norzim Lam is the major thoroughfare, and a policeman with clean white gloves controls traffic. ''BHUTAN HAS 13 TRADITIONAL ARTS & CRAFTS.  In 2001 CE, Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck, Her Majesty the Queen, opened the National Textile Museum. Important historical artifacts from Bhutan are on exhibit, including the pearl robe worn by the Buddhist monk Tsamdrak Goenpa, the princess crown worn by Ashi Wangmo's sister, and the original Raven Crown—a headgear crowned with a raven's head—used by the country's rulers. Among the 13 ancient arts and crafts of Bhutan, known as zorig chochom, hand-woven textiles constitute one. These crafts were formally classified under Gyalse Tenzin Rabgay's rule (1638-1696 CE). With designs and patterns denoting social position, wealth, and political rank, fabric has been an essential part of Bhutanese history and culture for generations. Carved over millennia by the flow of the Bhaiad River through layers of sandstone and shale, this breathtaking canyon reflects the forces of nature. Nestled approximately 32 kilometers from Bhuj, Kadiya Dhro, also known as Mamai Dev Kaliya Dhrow, emerges as a hidden gem in Gujarat. Often hailed as the "Grand Canyon of India," its allure lies in the harmonious blend of natural beauty, geological marvels, and rich historical significance. A carving created by an artist ~ After flowing for around five to six months a year, the Bhaiad River splits into little ponds that are dispersed across Kadiya Dhro. Lathmar Holi at Barsana 2024: Time, place, importance, and all you need to know about this special Holi festival

Holi, the Festival of Colors, is almost approaching. It occurs in the month of Phalguna on the 'Purnima Tithi'. It falls on March 25 this year. It is one of the most important holidays observed with great fanfare both in India and throughout the world. The largest festival on the Hindu calendar is Holi, after Diwali. Holi is an annual celebration of Lord Krishna and Radha's eternal love and unity, which is why their devotees gather at Krishna's birthplace. Various Holi customs are followed throughout the nation. Among these, the most well-known holiday is Braj Ki Holi, observed by people from Gokul, Mathura, and Vrindavan over ten days. Lathmar Holi celebrations include playing with gulaal, dancing, and singing in addition to playing with Lath. In addition, people make Gujiya and Thandai, a traditional milk beverage. This year, the festivities got underway on March 17 with Laddu Holi, a festival in Barsana where ladies threw laddoos at men in jest. Radhadasi feels fortunate to be performing this work. When Radhadasi passed through the vibrant street carrying Bhog Prasad, Itra Phulel, and Paan Beeda along with a handi loaded with Abir Gulal, devotees flocked to meet her. Radhadasi are warmly welcomed by the Goswami Samaj at Nandgaon upon their arrival. It's on this auspicious occasion that cold thandai infused with cannabis is served, adding an extra layer of euphoria to the atmosphere. From here, Huriyare travels immediately to the Ladliji temple, where the Goswamis of Barsana and Nandgaon gather to sing in unison. Amidst the melodious tunes, good-natured banter ensues between the groups, adding to the jovial spirit of the occasion. After the communal hymns, the Hurriyares proceed to Rangili Gali, where the air is charged with excitement. Here, Hurriyarin, armed with sticks, awaits their arrival, ready to engage in the playful yet spirited exchanges. The streets come alive as the Hurriyares and Hurriyarins playfully lather each other with colors, skillfully parrying lathi blows with their shields in a display of agile defense. This vibrant spectacle draws thousands of onlookers, all eager to witness the breathtaking festivities unfold before their eyes, adding to the rich tapestry of traditions that define the essence of Lathmar Rangili Holi. In Accordance To Mythological References~  The prankish Nandgaon native Kanhaiya would take his cowherds to Barsana in Dwaparyug, where they would play Holi with Radha Rani and other Gopis and taunt them. Jokingly, Radha raced behind Kanha and his cowherds and used a stick to teach him a lesson. In keeping with this custom, the men of Nandgaon and the ladies of Barsana play Lathmar Holi during the month of Phalgun each year. The men of Nandgaon use sticks tied around their waists, called huriyars, to play a vibrant version of Holi. A similar event is scheduled for Nandgaon the next day. The residents of Barsana and Nandgaon practice religion. This custom is claimed to have originated with ladies acting out the role of Radha Rani about 5,000 years ago.

Traders used dovornems as little more than places to relax when they were tired from carrying large baskets on their heads and needed assistance holding their bags while they slept. There is a well-equipped well hidden behind the building. These highways served as small-scale trading routes. You can see a lot of these buildings all across the area. Dovor in Konkani means “to place on”. These were believed to have been erected to help the tired travellers to rest, by temporarily placing the heavy load off their heads on these platforms unaided. Today these structures are either destroyed or ignored. With time, the reasons for the existence of these monuments were forgotten. Even though they are of little use now, they are rich in historical significance! The focus of Dovornem is "keeping." What else could be retained if this is not preserved? It represents everything weighty and needing to be kept safe. Visitors can embark on a challenging yet rewarding hike to the summit, where they can witness the awe-inspiring sunrise. While the mountain is accessible all year round, it is advisable to visit during this period when all of the trail's huts are open and the weather is ideal. Hiking to the peak and back is doable in a single day, despite not being an easy feat. Along the way, several stations offer various amenities including food, water, shelter, and bathrooms. Even if you don't intend to spend the night, just in case, pack a light. Bring extra water and food with you for the hike so you can stay energized. Certain trail stations have refill stations. When necessary, take pauses, and pay attention to your body. By increasing gradually, you can prevent altitude sickness and overexertion. Dress in layers to accommodate shifting temperatures. Be ready for abrupt weather changes and severe gusts. Bring a head covering, sunscreen, warm mitts, and a cap. Adhere to the authorities' directions and stay on paths that have been designated. Respect the guidelines and policies of the mountain. Bring extra cash for food, drink, oxygen, and any other necessities you may require as some mountain huts and amenities do not take credit cards. At an altitude of 12,389 feet (3776 meters), the top of Mount Fuji is a dangerous place to visit if you have altitude sickness. Allow enough time for acclimatization, maintain hydration, and return right away if symptoms get worse. The lowest point in the water is the Challenger Deep, which is located off the Mariana Islands. There would be more than 1.3 miles (2 km) of water covering Mount Everest if it were within the tunnel. The desert encompasses, at least in part, the countries of Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Western Sahara, Sudan, and Tunisia. The Nile River runs through the Sahara Desert throughout the year, but all other rivers only exist seasonally. Grasslands may be found in the northern and southern parts of the desert, but the center region is extremely arid. The geography of the desert includes tremendous dunes and dune fields which may be described as a sea of sand. They "experience no pressure changes or physiological stresses at all." Two sages by the names of Gouthama Muni and Gargeya Muni resided in an ashram at a location called Mullai Vanam, also known as Jasmine Garden. A couple who worked for the sages, Nidhruva and Vedikai, longed for a child. They expressed their sincere wish to have children and sought the wisdom of the sages. The sages answered their prayers by telling them to worship Goddess Parvathi as Garbarakshambigai Amman and to do pujas. Their prayers were heard miraculously, and Vedikai became pregnant. However, during her pregnancy, Vedikai inadvertently upset sage Urdhvapada when seeking Lord Varuna's audience. The sage cursed her with Rayatchu, endangering both her and her unborn child. Vedikai's desperate prayers to Garbarakshambigai Amman led to the divine intervention where the goddess placed the fetus in a pot, miraculously transforming it into a healthy infant. The couple's desire was thus fulfilled and they named their child Naidhuruvan. Traveling to Rajasthan During the Winter Months? Enjoy an Original Mud Homestay!

Inspired by UK visitors, Chhotaram Prajapat, whose family has been weaving "dhurries" in Rajasthan for more than seven centuries, started a mud guesthouse company. They now invite visitors to their house in Salawas village, offering genuine experiences and supporting regional arts and crafts. A British couple named Brad and Lucy were approaching the latter part of their journey across Rajasthan. The preferred location was the legendary city of Jodhpur. Equipped with postcards showcasing the majestic forts and camera shots showcasing the vibrant bazaars, the pair was primed for more genuine Rajasthani encounters. The town of Salawas, which takes great pleasure in producing dhurries—handwoven floor coverings with designs influenced by the state's culture—was the first location they encountered in Jodhpur. Lucy was so excited to meet Pukhraj ji's family, whose ancestors had been involved in artisanal craft for over seven centuries, that she could not control her joy. A few hours later, her arms were laden with woven dhurries that she had bought for her friends back home. It was time to part ways. She was in a trance, nevertheless, due to the mud cottages and large courtyards of the rural community. She could not bring herself to give up this old-fashioned charm for the comforts of a hotel. The Chhotaram Prajapat Homestay sees an influx of tourists from the UK. Chhotaram Prajapat, the now-30-year-old son of Pukhraj ji, remembers that the pair expressed a strong desire to remain at his family's home. English was not taught to us at the time. However, Brad and Lucy asked if they might stay with us for a few days using sign language. We were taken aback! Naturally not! At that time, it was unheard of for outsiders to dwell among the natives. What food would we give them? How would they sleep? We could only provide them with chapatis outside, beneath the sky. The amenities of a hotel were too luxurious for us to match. However, Brad and Lucy never gave up. They came back the following morning with a gentleman who spoke Rajasthani dialect and English with ease. He conveyed their desire to us once more, informing us that they were seeking a real Jodhpur experience—that is, sleeping outside beneath the stars in a mud hut—rather than luxury. Our house was ideal. Thus, for the following fifteen days, the couple was invited to stay at Pukhraj ji's house. Unbeknownst to Chhotaram, this would eventually establish the model for his ideal homestay enterprise. Chhotaram Prajapat’s wife is at the helm of the cuisine at the homestay and teaches guests to cook on an open fire.   A Business is Born of Serendipity ~ In Jodhpur these days, visitors go to the Chhotaram Prajapat Homestay for a "mesmerizing experience." The modern guesthouse, located 20 miles from the historic city, makes sure that it fits the local cultural experience that draws visitors to Jodhpur.After spending two weeks in the house, neither of them remained unchanged. The pair, on the other hand, was shown a world substantially apart from their own. Chhotaram laughs, "Just like gypsies," they ate the traditional Rajasthani cuisine and "cried because of the spice," and they were utterly fascinated by the process of boiling and cooling water before it was given. While this was going on, Chhotaram's family learned a few English words and were familiar with civilizations well outside their little town. The fifteen days passed very fast, and Brad and Lucy made plans to return to the UK. Chhotaram thought that this had been an isolated incident, but he was utterly mistaken. Within a few months, Salawas village residents were heard directing several international visitors to Chhotaram's "mud home." Friends of Brad and Lucy, they had seen photos of the couple's trip and heard about it, so they came to see it for themselves. Chhotaram was more than eager to comply this time.  Chhotaram Prajapat has strived to give his guests a local Rajasthani experience complete with safaris and local food! "Since we had already hosted Brad and Lucy, we knew how much spice foreigners could handle, so we tailored the meal accordingly." In the meantime, Chhotaram was having a great time conversing with the visitors and his vocabulary in English had grown. The most important one, he claims, was one such discussion in 2011. He saw Brad's buddy, one of his visitors, using a laptop connected via a dongle. At the time, he had been living with Chhotaram for three months. After we had a conversation, he recommended that I formally open up my house to tourists. similar to a homestay Chhotaram dismissed it, a businessman unfamiliar with the internet. However, the visitor persisted. He said, "I'll help you set it up." "Your home offers a local experience that makes people prefer it over hotels." Chotaram nodded, curious as to how this might operate. The visitor quickly registered the house on a travel website and gave Chhotaram an email account so he could access reservations. The Chhotaram Prajapat Homestay was founded as a result. "I thought of the name at the last minute. "I told him to name it after me," he says. After purchasing a computer that "took two hours to reply to an email" and spending Rs 700 to a nearby cyber cafe to access the internet for bookings, they are now able to accept reservations with just a button click. Weaving a Successful Venture ~ With the growing number of visitors, Chhotaram's house could no longer hold them. The weaver then started constructing traditional cottages next to his house. Currently, ten of them are stacked one on top of the other, each having a western bathroom that includes both hot and cold running water along with other amenities like air conditioning and televisions. The homestays' vintage charm is something the family wishes to keep. Visitors are welcome to observe the skill of dhurrie creation while they are here. Our daily bread is the only thing we make from our business. We used to serve the aristocratic households in the past. We used to create dhurries for landlords and maharajas. As time went on, our relatives entered various industries, but the merchants severely took advantage of them. That's when Pukhraj ji decided to act independently in 1986. "My father began selling straight from the community after forming a cooperative with forty-five families. The middlemen were removed as a result, said Chhotaram. Salawas is now a flourishing community for the craft. This community is well known worldwide for its dhurrie production, which is made using an interlock weaving method that is uncommon worldwide. But as he notes, maintaining a skill is not simple. The lack of enthusiasm for the skill among younger generations makes it difficult. Every year, the event features significant Berlin monuments covered in enchanting light. Artists participate to present their remarkable light works, creative projections, and three-dimensional mappings. This event takes place in Berlin and uses lights and 3D animated film to highlight the city's landmarks, such as the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Dom, and Funkturm. This event provides a platform for up-and-coming and local artists to present their work to interested parties. Leading artists create custom light works based on their preferences. Through their artwork and lighting, national and international artists hope to communicate a message. At morning, the followers fast and take a filtration bath. 'Om Namah Shivaya' is chanted as part of their meditation routines. Later, to symbolize the cleansing of the soul, the statue is smeared in scarlet vermillion and washed in milk and honey. The followers of Lord Shiva, the God of meditation, penance, and contemplation, celebrate the festival of Maha Shivratri. It is said that on this auspicious night of Maha Shivratri, Lord Shiva and Parvati tied the knot. Praying to Lord Shiva on this auspicious day, according to devotees, is believed to wash away sins and bring one closer to redemption. On this day, worshippers of Lord Shiva worship him with milk, honey, sandalwood paste, betel leaves, flowers, fruits, and other offerings while keeping a rigorous fast. It is followed by meditation, singing bhajans glorifying the Lord all night long, and chanting mantras. 2) Medin Poya ~ The event known as Medin Poya commemorates the day that Gautama Buddha paid his father a visit after attaining enlightenment. After several days, the Buddha was able to return and teach the king the Dhamma. A few days before the monarch passed away, the king acquired Sothapanna. Since it is a national holiday in Sri Lanka, a large number of devotees visit the temples with flowers to engage in meditation and hear the Dhamma's teachings. You will undoubtedly feel warm and at ease after the celebration. The nation's most famous city, Delhi, has experienced it everything. Whether we start from its rich past to the vibrant, ever-evolving culture ! The city has always been India's unwavering capital, even though it has been held and controlled by several emperors and kingdoms. Both visitors and residents may have a rich and engaging experience with Delhi's heritage walking tours. Seeking to clear up his perplexity, he summoned everyone to his court right away and related his dream. They debated this desire for a long time without coming to a decision. Shahjahan ultimately gave his Diwan Sa'adullah Khan the command to issue a proclamation declaring that "whoever shall submit a Map or Design of His dream mosque would be highly rewarded from the treasury of the King" in public. Many maps and designs were submitted to the King following this proclamation, but none of them were accepted. Finally, a chef Fazil Khan submitted his idea.  Fazil Khan drew this design, which was determined to be the most similar to the King's ideal mosque. Following the royal declaration, Fazil Khan was selected to receive the promised Award.As the biggest mosque in Delhi today, the Jama Masjid is unmatched throughout the nation. Revitalize Yourself At Chandi Chowk ~  Chandni Chowk is a bustling district and one of the oldest ancient markets in the city.  Walking around the market area is the only way to really experience the sensory overload created by the tight and busy streets, sights, sounds, and scents.  Another enjoyable approach to see the culture is to take a short rickshaw ride along these busy alleyways. According to some stories, the pool was replaced in the 1950s by a clock tower.  Chandni Chowk was created by Princess Jahanara. It was she who designed the space. Some stories state that the stores during that era were similarly moon-shaped. Chandni Chowk has developed into a business hub as of late. The location, which nevertheless holds a special historical tale, is today a congested marketplace. On May 21, 1917, the Imperial War Grave Commission (IWGC) was created as a special commission. Commission was established in England during World War I. This commission's objective was to build Great Memorials (across several Commonwealth nations) in order to honor the fallen and unaccounted-for troops who served in times of conflict. Based in England, this Commission is currently known as the Commonwealth War Grave Commission (CWGC). The same IWGC produced the India Gate. India Gate's construction was initiated in 1921 and concluded in 1931. The building of India Gate was completed in 11 years. The following sentence has been written in English and placed on the top of India Gate ~ "In sacred memory also of those whose names are here recorded and who fell in India on the north west frontier and during the Third Afghan War, and to the dead of the Indian armies who fell and are honored in France and Flanders, Mesopotamia and Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli, and elsewhere in the Near and the Far East." On the stone wall of India Gate are etched 13,220 names of troops and servicemen, including several English soldiers and officers. Italy's Baiae ~  This is a completely functional city. Baiae was reportedly frequented by the Romans for retreats and celebrations. Pools and palaces were erected by emperors. You may still travel to Baiae, but you have to go far out into the ocean to experience their spa. It is thought that the city has existed for 2000 years. Those lavish celebrations had to cease when the region's subterranean activity caused the soil to shift up and down, eventually submerging a portion of Baiae. Egypt's Heracleion ~ The Heracleion, said to have been submerged since the eighth century, has a fascinating history. Heracleion, also called Thonis depending on whether you use the Greek or Egyptian name, is said to have been a prominent harbor that welcomed ships as they reached the Nile's delta. It is also said to be the place where Herakles (or Hercules) first set foot on Egyptian soil. The path taken by the hero is long gone. Sonar is being used by archaeologists to find out what's under the sea floor. It should come as no surprise that they have found hundreds of anchors, dozens of boats, incense burners, jewels, and other items required for temple devotion. Additionally, eighteen-foot granite sculptures of Egyptian deities emerged from the sea. Israel's Atlit ~Yam The Atlit-Yam site, off the coast of northern Israel, dates back around 7,500–8,000 years, and an amazing number of materials beneath water has exposed itself. A ten-acre plot of land contains human tombs, animal bones, implements, flint, hearths, and house foundations. Residents of Atlit have excavated a 50-foot-deep well, which dates back to a time when our ancestors were just beginning to settle down in one location to cultivate grains. The two people buried there are most likely a mother and her child who have genetic evidence of having contracted TB, making them the oldest known cases of tuberculosis in humans. Greece's Pavlopetri ~ Pavlopetri is the oldest lost city in the Mediterranean, dating back about 5,000 years. A University of Southampton researcher named Nic Flemming discovered bones several feet below the surface off the coast of southern Greece in 1967. The site was mostly ignored until the early 2000s, following the original work in the 1960s. Following their dive into the ocean, the Pavlopetri Underwater Archaeology Project crew discovered The village was obviously formerly located on adjacent Pavlopetri Island, where streets, courtyards, houses, and gravestones led up to it. The property is still surrounded by old walls. The structures are thought to have been constructed by the Mycenaeans, ancient Greeks who flourished around the conclusion of the Bronze Age between 1650 and 1180 B.C. The location is now recognized as a World Monument Watch Site by UNESCO. In essence, this title is meant to shield the historic city from building, pollution, ships, and anchors. The researchers' curiosity has spurred in all of the above mentioned. All these submerged structures, avenues, and buildings from other historic cities have come to light. These submerged cities are associated with memories, histories, and the idea that someone once called them home.

A new national park in Chile is coming up to protect 141,000 acres of the Atacama Desert's biodiverse environment, where a rare mega bloom covers one of the world's most arid regions in a sea of crimson, magenta, and marigold wildflowers. Last October’s stunning display, the first in five years, led the government to construct northern Chile’s sixth national park, Desierto Florido. A fasinating Sight to Experience:  Beyond its breathtaking vegetation, this surreal region is full with wonders. The world's driest nonpolar desert, the Atacama, is teeming with life: the microorganisms that thrive in the zone's harsh, hyper-arid core; the insects and birds that depend on the flowers, which appear every three to ten years. Many of these bacteria may have information about life beyond Earth as well as how to survive on an increasingly parched planet. Previously, this "flowering desert" only happened once every five to ten years on average. However, one of the few benefits of climate change is that rains are becoming more frequent in the southern edge of the Atacama, which means that at least some flowers may now be seen in the Llanos and Chañarcillo sectors virtually yearly. A top-to-bottom desert expedition offers the opportunity to respect and preserve these hardy species while also participating in a citizen scientific effort that advances the hunt for alien life. The new park will be located between the cities of Vallenar and Copiapó, close to the country's northern shore. Travelers will have the opportunity to experience the rugged southern coast of Atacama, where peacock-blue seas glisten, in addition to the park's blooming. Astronomy enthusiasts can see uncommon glimpses of the cosmos under the brilliant night skies of Atacama. Palaces on Water: Discover the Charms of Lake Pichola in Udaipur

Have you ever leafed through a brochure for hotels in Udaipur? Paying close attention to the details reveals that Lake Pichola is frequently involved in many of the activities. This is so because the history of the lake, which is the most well-known feature of the city, is entwined with the city's founding.  An unparalleled lake: Udaipur, the lake city of Rajasthan, is home to Lake Pichola. Named for the nearby Picholi hamlet, the lake is a man-made freshwater body. The lakes surrounding the city of Udaipur have been created over numerous centuries. They were mostly created via dam construction, and their water met the city and its environs' demands for irrigation and drinking water. To provide views of the lake, the islands have been expanded to include many palaces. The background of Lake Pichola: The Banjara, a kind of gypsy tribesmen that used to carry food during Maharana Lakha's rule, built the lake around 1362 AD. Astonished by the lake's grandeur, Maharana Udai Singh soon constructed the city of Udaipur on its banks as well as a stone-masonry dam in the Badipol region at the lake's edge. Over the ages, the lake's surroundings and a few of its islands have been built to include bathing Ghats or Chabutaras (raised platforms inside a courtyard), palaces, family residences, and marble shrines. The Lake Pichola Islands: The four islands in the lake serve as the main draws for visitors. The islands are as follows: - Jag Niwas Island, which sits in the middle of Lake Pichola and is the location of the renowned Taj Palace or Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur. -Jag Mandir Island: This island, which is also in the center of Lake Pichola, resembles a floating marble home. -Mohan Mandir Island: Jagat Singh constructed a temple on the island in the seventeenth century. The monument has the same exquisite appearance as any temple, however, it is empty of any gods. -Arsi Vilas Island: The final island is situated behind Jag Niwas on the west coast of Lake Pichola. Bridges across Lake Pichola and Havelis Along the shores of Lake Pichola, there are several havelis. Several havelis had been transformed into Udaipur's well-known vintage hotels. Westminster Abbey is a church located in London that hosts important national ceremonies, including coronations. It is located in the Westminster borough of Greater London, directly to the west of the Houses of Parliament. Queen Elizabeth I referred to it as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter in Westminster in 1560. It is located on the grounds of a former Benedictine monastery. The Houses of Parliament, St. Margaret's Church, and Westminster Abbey were all named UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1987. One of the most significant Gothic Catholic structures in all of England is Westminster Abbey. It has served as both the official church for coronations and the ultimate resting place for numerous notable people and kings throughout British history since 1066. The abbey is not only a house of worship but also a veritable treasure trove of artifacts, drawing thousands of visitors each day.  It is a Royal Peculiar and belongs to the Sovereign, not the Church of England: The church isn't formally an abbey, despite going by Westminster Abbey. Because it belongs to the Sovereign rather than the Church of England, it qualifies as a "Royal Peculiar." The Collegiate Church of St. Peter is its formal name. Westminster Abbey got its name because Benedictine monks used it as a monastery in the beginning. This monicker is still in use today. A final resting place for over 3500 individuals: The original plan for the abbey was to house the final resting places of all of England's monarchs. But in the later years, the abbey provided a place for burial to anyone who could afford to be buried there. Many well-known people are buried there today, including Charles Dickens, Stephen Hawking, Sir Isaac Newton, Geoffrey Chaucer, and George Frederic Handel.  World's oldest door: Westminster Abbey boasts the nation's only surviving Anglo-Saxon door, which dates back to 1050. The door was constructed from a single Hainault tree, according to a tree-ring dating analysis. It is estimated that the tree reached its full height in 924–1030. Another finding suggested that human skin might be the hiding covering the door. A legend states that the skin that was nailed to the door served as a warning to deter criminal activity. Incredibly appealing: Its bells are frequently ringing well before you arrive at the Abbey. Ten modern bells ring for change, and two Elizabethan bells summon worshippers to services. Discover the Spiritual Views of Mangi Tungi

Mangi Tungi, a pair of hills, is an idyllic spot in the Sahyadri Hill range. On a clear day, the contrast of the brown and green against the blue sky creates breathtaking views from the barren rock peaks that overlook an enchanting green valley. Mangi Tungi is the perfect blend of peaceful and peculiar sights that will make your vacation unforgettable if you enjoy traveling to unusual destinations. The renowned Jain temple Shri Mangitungi Digamber Jain Siddha Kshetra is the reason why the hills are so well-known. At the base of the hills are several Jain monuments that are worth visiting. Mangi Tungi is distinctive in that it is thought that hundreds of Jain saints attained moksha (soul liberation) here. Historical Significance:  Additionally, the location is closely related to the legends of Lord Krishna and his older brother Lord Balarama. More than 90 crore saints and celebrities are said to have gained Moksha, or enlightenment, at Mangi Tungi. In the same place when Lord Krishna breathed his last, he also ejected his physical body. It is also said that following Lord Krishna's death, Balram, his older brother, emerged from a state of intense sadness and gained paramadnyana, the ultimate knowledge, which aided him in achieving enlightenment at Mangi Tungi alone.  Further Insights:  The eastern pinnacle, Tungi, is 4,366 feet above sea level, while the western pinnacle, Mangi, is 4,343 feet high. At Mangi, there are roughly ten caverns, one of which contains a stunning figure of Lord Mahavira made of white marble. Five well-maintained temples and two caves may be seen in Tungi. While you're here, spend some time strolling across the hills beyond the caverns. You could come across some exquisite carvings of Lord Indra, Goddess Yakshini, and Lord Yaksha on the rocks. The peak's base is reached after about 4,500 steps, and it is adorned with a number of significant historical and religious monuments. In addition, many caves bear the names of revered saints including Mahavir, Adinath, Shantinath, Parshwanath, and Ratnatrya. Every year in Kartik (September–October), a big fair is held here where Hindus and Jains come in large numbers to see the magnificent rath yatra. Mangi Giri: Mangi Giri is reached by taking the path that departs from the arches and turns left. The Mangi Pinnacle is not a particularly tall mountain. Here, there are seven ancient temples and several representations of saints' "charanas" (feet). There are 356 sculptures of Mahavir, Adinath, Parshvanath, Lord Hanuman, Bali, Sugreeva, and other figures at the base of the pinnacle. Additionally, there is a Mangigiri temple nearby. Here is a pond known as Krishna Kund, which is thought to have witnessed Lord Krishna's final moments. Texts claim that Balarama attained the fifth heaven and had also practiced redemption here. Tungi Giri: Tungi Giri is reached by taking the path that departs from the arches and turns right. More elevated than Mangi is the Tungi Pinnacle. On the journey there are two caverns and five temples. Lord Chandraprabha, the eighth Tirthankara, and Ram Chandra Cave are the names of the two caverns. Additionally, there are two caves dedicated to the ascetic saints Shuddha and Buddha Munies, as well as a colossus of Bhagwan Munisuvrat Nath in Padmasana. A temple dedicated to Tungigiri is located in one of these caverns. In addition to this, these caverns include 99 carvings of the Lord Buddha. An idol of Kritantvakra, the commander of Ram's army, the austere saint stage can be found in one cave. Old idols of Hanuman, Gava, Gavaksha, Neel, and other deities are also present. Here, one may observe stunning stone carvings of Lord Indra and the Yakshas and Yakshanis, who serve as the Tirthankaras' attendants. By going through all these beautiful detailing of this destination, it seems there are only a handful of mountains in all of India that are home to numerous caves, historic idols, and water reservoirs. This location is indeed a mesmerising gold mine of antiquity. It's challenging to put into words how this place feels- by simply looking at the photos. Rarely seen anywhere else are the artistically carved statues of gods and goddesses in a wide variety of dancing moods and positions that are found here in caves, together with the ancient artistic Jain idols of Tirthankars and mystical saints.

Further Insights ~  According to an article that was recently published by The Indian Express, the temple complex will consist of around four wings – east, west, north, and south. The Vrindavan Heritage Tower will have an octagonal structure. It is being built at a cost of a whopping $80 Million and will have a total of 70 floors. As per the IE article, its height is around 210 meters. It is believed that after completion, it will be a major tourist attraction which will help boost the local economy. This heritage tower is an attempt to fortify the spiritual infrastructure of India. If such an infrastructure is in place, then tourists will increasingly be attracted to the country as spirituality is one of India's biggest USP. The skyscraper temple-cum-heritage project, conceived of by the devotees of ISKCON-Bangalore, will consist of a grand temple of Lord Sri Krishna at its center. The grand temple shall be of monumental proportions and its iconic architecture shall harmoniously combine elements of both Indian temple architecture and modern architecture. This temple is poised to become the tallest, grandest, and largest religious structure in India. The temple has a footprint of about 5.5 acres and rises to a height of about 700 feet (213 meters or 70 floors). From the ground level, a capsule elevator will rise through the temple core, taking visitors to the Viewing Gallery at 700 feet for a breathtaking panoramic view of Braj Mandal. Spread over a sprawling 18 acres, it will consist of the twelve forests (dvadashakanana) of Braj, with varieties of lush vegetation, green pastures, elegant vistas of fruit-bearing trees, flower-laden creepers serenaded by bird songs, clear water lakes with lotuses and lilies and waterfalls that tumble from small artificial hillocks –  all recreated from descriptions in the Srimad Bhagavatam and other source books of Lord Sri Krishna – to transport the visitors to Krishna’s times in Vrindavan.

According to government sources cited by news agency ANI, the proposed airport will serve both military and civilian aircraft. It will have the capacity to operate fighter jets, military transport planes, and commercial flights. Currently, there is only one airstrip in Agatti Island, which limits the types of aircraft that can operate there. The development of a joint-use airfield in Minicoy has been a long-standing proposal, but the decision to proceed with it now marks a significant step forward. The new airport is expected to promote tourism in Lakshadweep and strengthen surveillance capabilities over the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean region.
