The Tent City can be accessed by a number of boats plying through the different ghats in Varanasi. According to the news agency PTI, the Tent City would operate from October to June before being disassembled for three months due to the rise in river water levels during the rainy season. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Sarbananda Sonowal, the minister of shipping and waterways, were both in Varanasi for the event. PM Modi participated in the event virtually. The Tent City, MV Ganga cruise, and the inauguration of several waterways will all go a long way in boosting tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
