This is the tale of an Indian community in Rajasthan that plants 111 trees whenever a girl is born. According to the former sarpanch of the village, Shyam Sundar Paliwal, who was instrumental in launching this project in honor of his daughter Kiran, who passed away a few years ago, 60 girls are typically born here each year. When she was 18 years old, she passed away from dehydration.Shyam has made it a mission to surround the community in greenery so that there is never a water scarcity. #Trees4Earth was pioneered by social activist and former Piplantri village sarpanch Shyam Sunder Paliwal.
