The Power of Imperfect Starts: A Positive Actionable Lifestyle
Accept your flaws and peculiarities; striving for perfection is pointless! Seeking perfection can be detrimental and counterproductive. It may limit our potential and cause us to slow down. I've always been afraid of failing when I try my hand at writing. Among the queries I found myself asking myself repeatedly was, "What if my articles weren't flawless?" And if my work is turned down? But as we traveled, that story evolved. The majority of us, if not all of us, are driven to always strive for perfection, to get perfect grades on tests, to never make mistakes, and to live faultless lives. It makes sense since people are inherently motivated to aim higher. We don't ever seem to be content. After all, we live in a world that is far from perfect, so why should we think that we are any different? This statement is the complete opposite of what some people might consider to be a pessimistic or skeptical frame of view. Truly, I believe that our capacity to accept our imperfections is what ultimately brings us happiness. Start now. Optimize later. Imperfect starts can always be improved. A flawed beginning is a step in the right direction toward your objectives. Whether or not you have everything worked out is irrelevant. You don't even know what the outcome will look like when you start. It entails making mistakes and taking advice as needed. An imperfect start enables you to move forward rather than sitting back and waiting for the ideal opportunity to take action. Benefits of Embracing Imperfection : Imperfect starts come with several benefits. Here are four things I have learned when making that imperfect move. I know you’ll, too, if you leap forward. You Become More Creative ~ Trying new things or taking risks can build your creativity in a significant way. Remember, creativity is not a skill strictly meant for writers, musicians, artists, or right-brained thinkers. It is a valuable skill for everyone out there, including you. At first, it wasn’t easy sharing my work because it felt a little intimidating. But the critiques I received from people were indispensable. You Gain More Experience ~ With experience, you become confident and skillful. The more you put your hands on something, the better you get at it. Never underestimate the power of experience when preparing for your dream job. When I started writing a few years ago, I had to embrace imperfection to gain some experience. Right now, my writing skills are better than a while back ~ I am more assertive and expressive than before! You Learn Through Mistakes ~ Mistakes are inevitable with imperfect starts. Consider them as valuable learning opportunities. How else do we get better if not through making mistakes? “Mistakes are the portals of discovery.” — James Joyce Perfectionism leads to the fear of making mistakes. But you can embrace imperfect starts and learn from those mistakes. You Overcome Fear and Procrastination ~ The only break through fear is by starting small by taking an imperfect action. I know making that first move can feel scary, but trust me; they are manageable. Small steps get you moving, and that’s how you will find it easier to take bolder and bigger steps. You can also conquer procrastination with imperfect starts. When you find your goals overwhelming to achieve, it’s easier to put them off. But by breaking them down into smaller manageable tasks, it becomes less intimidating. So, don’t have cold feet about imperfect starts. It’s the only way you can step up your game. (Source Of The Image: Google Images) At Last: Trust The Process ~ Most importantly, trust the process — It will lead toward your purpose. After setting your goals, work on them hoping that things will turn out well at the right time ~ always remember the right time will come if the current time is spent judiciously. Whether you face challenges or not, trust the process. Also, set a reminder that good things take time, and instant gratification and shortcuts might lead to regrets. Choosing to start is a powerful move. Whether you want to become an entrepreneur or artist, you can always improve the imperfect start with a positive attitude. Remember, tomorrow is not promised. The sooner you start the better. Taking action now will help you destroy broken dreams & seek the greater good in your life.
