The Symbol of Glory: A Tower That Stands Above the Rest

Kirti Stambha, also known as the Tower of Fame, is a renowned tourist destination located in the city of Chittorgarh in the Indian state of Rajasthan. This stunning tower stands tall at 23 meters high and is made of sandstone, adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures that reflect the rich culture and history of the region.   Kirti Stambha is a symbol of Jain architecture and is dedicated to Rishabha, the first Tirthankara of Jainism. The tower was built by a wealthy Jain merchant, Jijaji Rathod, in the 12th century, and it took him 12 years to complete the construction.   The tower consists of seven floors, each with a unique design and decoration. The first floor features the images of the Jain Tirthankaras, while the second floor has carvings of Hindu deities. The third and fourth floors feature beautiful sculptures of various musicians and dancers. The fifth floor is dedicated to various Jain scholars and saints, while the sixth floor is adorned with sculptures of various Jain gods and goddesses. The seventh and final floor has an open balcony from which visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Chittorgarh and its surrounding landscape.   The tower is open to visitors from morning to evening, and tourists can access it by climbing a steep staircase that leads to the top.    A visit to Kirti Stambha is an unforgettable experience that will leave visitors with memories that last a lifetime.
