Schoolboy Makes This Remarkable Gadget for Senior Citizens
At an age when children are drawn to gadgets for their entertainment, this whizkid is actually making machines for the benefit of people. Parv Kapoor from Bareilly has developed a watch for elderly people that acts as a safety device by enabling the person using it to give alerts when in trouble. The Security Watch With Digital Alarm Parv would often worry about his old grandfather who would be alone at home when Parv’s parents went to work. His concern for his grandfather prompted him to devise a machine that would always be near the elderly person and could trigger an alert instantly when in trouble. That is how he came up with the idea of a security watch with a digital alarm. According to Parv, when the person using the watch presses a button on it, family members receive an alert message, ‘need help’ along with the location of the affected person. Earlier, family members could receive an alert message only within an area of 100-meter radius. He, therefore, upgraded and developed it further and now the message could be received anywhere in the world. Other inventions Parv has been making machines since he was in class VII. His genius mind helped him create automatic water filling machine, smart stick for visually impaired persons and a drone camera. The sky is the limit for Parv whose inspiration is APJ Abdul Kalam. He wishes to do business by commercializing the gadgets that he makes.
