Sri Sai Sansthan Prasadalaya: Located in Shirdi, Maharashtra, the Sri Sai Sansthan Prasadalaya is the largest solar kitchen of Asia. 73 solar dishes, each one 16 sq. metres in size is fixed across 4 rooftops of the mega kitchen and fuels the preparation of 40,000 meals in a single day. The kitchen caters to the huge numbers of devotees who throng the famous Saibaba temple. People from all over the country including celebrities, cricketers and renowned industrialists visit the temple to offer prayers. Besides fresh meals, the kitchen also prepares thousands of ‘breakfast packets’ that are distributed free of charge in the early morning hours. Food is hygienically prepared and devotees get a taste of homemade food with a delicious dessert.
