India Gets Its First Canopy Walk

Karnataka will soon inaugurate India's first canopy walk on the 18th of this month.The Canopy walk is constructed in the Western Ghats of the region. The canopy walk which is 30 feet above the ground is said to provide a 240-metre long walkway. The Karnataka Forest Department joined hands with the State Tourism Committee to construct the Canopy walk. The Chief Conservator of Forests, Kali Tiger Reserve, O Palaiah stated that"This first of its kind project in the country will allow a maximum of 10 people for the walk at a time and two each can stand on the different platforms there to watch the life around.'
