The 22-year-old karateka from Haryana became the first Indian woman ever to win a gold medal at the prestigious continental event, marking a landmark moment for the sport in the country.Competing in the Women’s Kumite -55kg category, Alisha displayed nerves of steel and exceptional technique to edge past Japan’s Rina Kodo 4-3 in a thrilling final.
