Curious About Space? Visit ’Antriksh Jigyasa”- a Space Education Portal Launched by ISRO
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has introduced "Antriksh Jigyasa", a new digital platform that is intended to serve as a knowledge hub for applicants interested in learning about space technology and its application with STEM - Space Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Individuals interested in space exploration and space science can now sign up for the online space courses on Antriksh Jigyasa's official website. This virtual platform offers self-paced online courses with innovative e-learning content on space science, technology, and applications. The "SkyPicks" segment makes this open platform even more interesting. Here, enthusiastic students can participate and showcase their creativity. This month's theme is - Think like a Space Scientist. Other components of Antriksh Jigyasa include Space Varta, Shiksha Gagan, SPARK, Space Quiz, and Antriksh Navacharare. Under the Space Varta program, ISRO scientists will explain the theory underlying scientific concepts relating to particular fields of space science. They will also share the accomplishments and outcomes of significant space missions. Under the Antriksh Navacharare initiative, young innovators can submit their ideas, research findings, models, software, tools, methodologies, or any other original and creative solutions. Officials claim that since the web portal's inception, up to 560 participants have signed up. They can now avail of 113 information repositories, 42 video sessions, seven online courses, and four knowledge partners.
