From Reels to Reality: Amrit Generation Initiative Ignites Passion in Indian Youth

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) has taken a significant step towards empowering the youth of India with the launch of an inspiring initiative that encourages them to express their aspirations and dreams on social media platforms. Under the guidance of WCD Minister Smriti Irani, the Amrit Generation campaign has been introduced in partnership with Meta, with the aim of engaging and nurturing the talents of young individuals aged 16 to 18. Minister Irani emphasized the crucial role played by today's youth in shaping the future of India, stating, "The Amrit Generation campaign aims to engage, inspire, and nurture their aspirations, ensuring that they have the support and encouragement they need to realize their dreams. We are delighted to partner with Meta India for this meaningful initiative." As per a report in Hindustan Times, participants from all corners of the country will be invited to showcase their creativity and share their aspirations through the creation of reels on popular social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. The campaign encourages the youth to delve into their ambitions and envision their future paths, fostering a sense of community and serving as a source of inspiration for others. To take part, participants must create a reel on Instagram or Facebook, highlighting their aspirations and incorporating the hashtag (#) Amrit Generation. From the submissions, fifty exceptional entries will be chosen for an exclusive opportunity to visit New Delhi, where they will engage with esteemed policymakers and industry leaders. This unique interaction will provide invaluable insights into their chosen fields and offer guidance on how to achieve their dreams. Furthermore, the selected participants will have the privilege of visiting the Meta office in Gurugram, where they will have the chance to learn from industry leaders and creators, gaining knowledge on leveraging the potential of the creator economy.
