UK Gurudwaras opened doors to London terror attack victims

On Sunday, Gurdwaras in London opened their doors and offered shelter and food to the victims of the London terror attack, an event that shook the world. As soon as news of the attack spread,  Sikhs tweeted that their places of worship were opened for those who were stranded and caught up in the terror attack and that they would be offered shelter and food. In a show of unity and solidarity, the Sikhs had also posted maps of nearby Gurdwaras that would be open in the early morning hours to help those in need. They distributed food, shelter, clothing, and even organized blood donations for anyone caught up in the terror attacks. To remember the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots, over 25,000 Sikhs were expected to congregate in Trafalgar Square in central London. The Sikh Federation UK said that it will also be an opportunity to remember and pray for all the innocents killed and injured in the last few weeks in Manchester and London. Other Londoners used a new feature in Facebook to reach out and help the victims stranded on London Bridge. The three terrorists who ran their van into the crowd on the bridge and later randomly stabbed multiple people were all shot dead.
