Chandrababu Naidu Commences Andhra Pradesh's 'Road Pothole-Free Mission'
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is on a mission to transform the state's highways into smooth, pothole-free pathways, bringing safety and progress to its roads. Recently, Naidu rolled up his sleeves in Parawada, Anakapalli district, where he joined locals in a road repair project and emphasized the need for immediate action. Declaring, "We have commenced efforts to eradicate potholes today in Vennelapalem," he passionately likened damaged roads to “roads to hell,” spotlighting harrowing instances where laboring women had to endure unsafe, treacherous journeys. Naidu criticized the passivity of the previous government, pointing out that only Rs. 1000 crores had been set out for road maintenance in the previous five years, which he considered insufficient. He said, "Good roads are a symbol of civilization and vital for development." Roads should be clear of potholes by the next Sankranti holiday, according to Naidu.
