A Smart Robocop To Assist Police

A smart policing robot developed by H-Bots Robotics which is a Hyderabad based technology, machine learning, artificial intelligence start-up was inaugurated by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT, Telangana. The life-size robot is the world’s first police robot which moves, recognizes people, takes complaints, detects bombs, identified suspects, interacted with people, and answers peoples queries. This smart robocop will help police in handling law and order, and traffic management. If deployed autonomously, it can take place of security at selected spots at malls or airports and public places. Speaking about the robot, P S V Kisshhan, who founded H-Bots Robotics and conceptualized the robot said that it is a beta version robot and is made in India using all Indian components. The robot will be tested on field and will be commercially deployed by July. An official informed that the robot has futuristic body design and has inbuilt Artificial Intelligence. It has dual LED lights, thermal imaging, and emergency amber flashlights. It has automatic charging dock station. It can be deployed both for Indoor and outdoor jobs. The newly launched robot is named after 26/11 martyr Hemant Karkare and the company says all Smart Police Robots produced by H-Bot Robotics will be named after police martyrs.
