Balbharati textbooks to have QR codes for more information

Going ahead of the traditional text books, The Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbooks also known as Balbharati will now take a different look and also have added features to make these text books more interesting. Right from One-Act play by teachers, quick response cod (QR code), internal links for reference and lessons in conversational format will be now part of standard VII textbooks. New books in the changed format will be soon available in the market from next week onwards. According to a report published in the Times of India, the 2017-18 academic year would be the last year when students receive their textbooks in schools as the state government has decided to transfer textbook fees to the student's bank account directly in the future. The pattern of standard VII has undergone changes in all subjects and new teaching-learning methods have been introduced. Balbharati director Sunil Magar informed that similar effort was conducted for class VI and this year they have  revamped few things in class VII text books. This change has been done to make sure that children maintain their interest in studies. Teachers were also asked to give their creative writings one-act play and the best ones are now a part of the syllabus.
