Break Stereotypes Of Resolutions.
As the month of December comes to an end, everyone starts making new years resolutions. We all enter new-year with new plans. Weight gain, weight loss, get or change a job, save more money and what not. Some of them are followed till the end and most of them are left in between. But have we ever paused to give it a thought? These are always the resolutions most of us make. We rarely go beyond stereotypes of resolutions. Isn’t it time to change this routine? In today’s technological era, we already are losing human touch, emotionally as well as physically. This may not affect us today or tomorrow. But in the near future, we all will pay a price for our ignorance. So, let’s draw a new plan for this new year. 1. Spend more time with your loved ones. Time is the best gift you can give to someone, they say. It doesn’t have to be in a fancy restaurant or movie theatres. No, don’t spend a fortune to buy a quality time. It can be a few minutes conversation over a cup of morning tea. Or it can be a simple call during a day just to say ‘hi’. It will be enough to make your loved ones happy. We all take people around us for granted and regret it later. Let’s stop doing that this year. 2. Whatsapp, facebook, twitter aren’t the only things in the world. These social media platforms have definitely made life easier. At least that’s what we had thought earlier. But somewhere we crossed the line between using these applications and being addicted to them. We all are so busy in sending some least important jokes, clicking the photos, sharing unnecessary information that we have forgotten how to live in a moment. We do not need to suddenly stop using them altogether. But we can surely draw a line. Life is passing by and we cannot enjoy it while updating a status on Facebook. 3. Do small things that will make you happy. There is nothing wrong with setting long-term goals. But it requires dedication many of us lack. So, instead of planning on something grand, do little things daily. Don’t go overboard with your resolutions. Keep them simple. Take one step at a time. Do not aim for losing 10 kilos in a month. Aim for exercising daily. Do not aim for being a millionaire by the end of 2018. Do not waste food. Respect food respect life. Aim for working hard, saving and investing money. If you are doing your part with a whole heart, life will not disappoint you.
