Indian Kids’ Art Feature In NASA’s Calendar
NASA’s 2018 Commercial Crew Program Calendar Art Contest saw over 3,000 entries from 193 countries and India has a reason to be proud as two artworks of students from a school in Tamil Nadu have been selected. Kaviya BJ and K Selva Sreejith, both 11 years old and students of Shree Vidhya Mandhir, Pushpathur in Palani are amongst the twelve winners whose entries adorn the pages of the calendar. Various themes were set for the calendar including the International Space Station, astronauts and growing food in space. Selva and Kaviya fashioned their works on the themes ‘what would you take from home’ and ‘space food,’ respectively.
