Philately, Collecting of Stamps is actually a hobby enjoyed by many. Philately is the study of stamps and postal history and other related items. It also refers to the collection, appreciation and research activities on stamps and other philatelic products. Stamp collectors relish their hobby, and they actively seek out new and unusual stamps to add to their stamp collecting albums. There is a good news if you are already feeling interested and are collecting or maybe are thinking of collecting these wonderful stamps. The scholarship will be provided to a number of 920 students, who not only have a good academic record but also have a hobby of collecting stamps. Deen Dayal SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude and Research in Stamps as a Hobby) Yojana, a scholarship launched by the government with an intention to promote Philately. The charm of letter writing is fading away, but the scholarship will truly motivate students to study and collect postage stamps. The amount of scholarship will be Rs 6,000 per annum. Only students from class VI to class IX are eligible for this scholarship.
