North Central Railway Reaps Rich Reward

For the past two years, the North Central Railway(NCR) had invested time and money for installing solar panels on the rooftops of stations, divisional office and its headquarters. Now, these efforts are slated to pay rich dividends in the form of valuable carbon credits. Once the authorities install these panels to their targeted capacity (11.12 MW), NCR would be earning carbon credits of 8646.912 tonnes per year. This will induce a positive environmental impact in terms of the savings of coal which is the primary source of generation of electricity in the country.
