Global Expansion: Amul's fresh product range is being launched for the first time outside of India
The well-known dairy company Amul, which is linked to the slogan "Taste of India," is about to launch its line of fresh goods in the US market. "I am pleased to announce that Amul will be introducing its fresh milk products in the United States of America," said Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which manages Amul. This announcement was made on March 20 in Detroit during the annual meeting of the 108-year-old US dairy cooperative, the Michigan Milk Producers Association with which Amul has tied up. "Amul's fresh product range is being launched for the first time outside of India, in a market like the United States, which has a sizable Indian and Asian diaspora," Mehta told ANI. Mehta echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal to make Amul one of the most well-known dairy companies in the world which is possible because of its incredible entrepreneurial adventure. The Prime Minister was speaking at the Amul's golden jubilee celebrations. Prime Minister Modi emphasized how a little seed sown by Gujarati farmers fifty years ago developed into a massive tree, signifying the expansion and prosperity of Amul. Amul uses 18,000 milk cooperative committees to run its business, which involves 36,000 farmers and processes over 3.5 crore liters of milk a day. It sells to more than 50 nations. Globalization has led to the sharing of knowledge, information, technology, and cultural values; business methods are no different. Even if a multicultural paradise of international corporations is still a long way off, sharing and forming international alliances has never been simpler. You may innovate with your products and services by tapping into the worldwide market. Businesses sometimes have to modify their offerings while expanding abroad to satisfy local demand. Even while it might appear like extra labor, there is a lot of room for creativity. You may expand your income sources outside of national or state borders by creating profitable goods and services as well as an established customer base. ( Source: Google Images) India's development story is inextricably linked to the growth of the dairy industry, especially given the significant role dairy cooperatives have played since the start of Operation Flood. This is especially true given that India is currently the world's largest producer of milk. With its current 21 percent global milk production share, India has achieved a remarkable milestone in light of its previous status as a milk-deficit country that depended on imports in the 1950s and 1960s. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) was founded in 1965 to assist the establishment of "Anand pattern" dairy cooperatives nationally under the Operation Flood project, which was carried out in phases, in response to then-prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's visit to Gujarat's Anand district in 1964. The first chairman of NDDB was Verghese Kurien, who is revered in India as the "Father of the White Revolution." The initiative, which Kurien and his team led from the outset, was to set up Anand-pattern cooperatives in milk sheds throughout the nation to make it easier for milk cooperatives to carry liquid milk that they produced and purchased to cities. Not milk, but trust is their currency. This brand is still expanding thanks to the confidence of a billion customers and millions of manufacturers.
