Amritsar To Soon Start BRTS

The Punjab Government has decided to relaunch the Amritsar bus rapid transit system ( BRTS) by the mid of April. 15th April is said to be the deadline to relaunch the system. In a meeting held on Tuesday by the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB), the ministry also discussed the possibilities of introducing the system in Ludhiana and Jalandhar. A proposal to set up convention centres in Ludhiana, Mohali and Amritsar and a recreational centre in Amritsar also got a thumbs up. The projects are said to be implemented by state development authorities.
