We all know India has the most innovative minds but due to lack of good employment, every engineer turns to western countries. Dr. Satish Tailor a Rajasthan-based researcher came up with a new thermal spray coating technology which caught the attention of NASA scientist.
Not only did he did he show his interest but also wrote to the Dr. Tailor and expressed his desire in the research. This technology was published in the journal Ceramics International and Thermal Spray Bulletin. Talking about the benefits of the technology, Dr Tailor said coating is beneficial for gas turbine engine application used in spacecraft.
Dr. Tailor said he had shared his research papers with the NASA scientist and also spoke about the scientists working at the country’s leading research organisations — the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) who are equally impressed with the new technology.
