The idea behind Dunzo was to offer a one-stop-shop for all kinds of tasks that people need help with in their daily lives - from grocery shopping to laundry to pet care.
Kabeer Biswas is an Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder & CEO of Dunzo, a hyperlocal delivery startup based in Bengaluru, India. He started Dunzo in 2015 with three other co-founders - Ankur Aggarwal, Dalvir Suri, and Mukund Jha. Since then, the company has grown rapidly and become one of the leading players in the Indian hyperlocal delivery market.
Kabeer pursued a Bachelor of Electronics in Computers from the University of Mumbai (2000-2004). He later did a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
Biswas worked with companies like Bharti Airtel Limited and Videocon Telecommunications Limited before starting his own venture, Hoppr, in 2012. Hoppr was a location-based social networking app that allowed users to check-in to places, discover nearby deals, and connect with friends. Hoppr was acquired by Hike in 2014.
Biswas had gained enough experience till then — thus, he went on to establish his local delivery set up, Dunzo in January 2015. The idea behind Dunzo was to offer a one-stop-shop for all kinds of tasks that people need help with in their daily lives - from grocery shopping to laundry to pet care. Dunzo uses a combination of human and machine intelligence to offer a seamless, efficient, and personalized experience to its users.
Under Biswas's leadership, Dunzo has grown rapidly and expanded to several cities across India. The company has also raised fundings from investors like Google, Blume Ventures, and Lightbox. Biswas has been recognized as a young entrepreneur to watch out for by several publications, including Forbes India and Fortune India.
