According to an official on Tuesday, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has created a drone with artificial intelligence (AI) software for close surveillance of buildings in remote locations. The AI-driven remotely operated vehicle, according to the IIT official, can identify cracks and other flaws in structures in as little as 25 milliseconds, ranging from high-tension power lines and gas pipelines to buildings and roadways.

Professor Abhirup Datta of IIT Indore stated, "The institute has developed a cutting-edge drone system that integrates Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with AI and machine learning (ML) to inspect and detect anomalies in structures, especially in difficult-to-reach areas."
According to him, this cutting-edge system employs AI-ML technology to instantly detect and categorize cracks and other irregularities in infrastructure like high-tension wires, gas pipelines, buildings, and roadways ~ now that's taking magical advantage of artificial intelligence modules.
Datta stated, "The system has demonstrated exceptional accuracy, achieving a 98.7% success rate in identifying and categorizing cracks and processing data using cutting-edge AI edge devices like Nvidia Jetson in just 25 milliseconds." It is anticipated that this breakthrough will revolutionize inspection procedures, resulting in a quicker, safer, and more dependable process. According to the IIT professor, AI-powered drones can also be utilized to find cracks and other flaws in railroad lines provided specific research is done.
Thank you to these imaginative brains for creating a revolutionary technique that allows you to say goodbye to broken roads and hidden construction defects!
