Storytelling is a very strong communication tool. Add photographic images to storytelling and it provides a more powerful and emotive stimulus to any viewer.  When you combine words with pictures and narrative, you create a very potent weapon that permeates all human interactions. And this one is straightforward, conveys a ton of information, and does it without being pretentious. Captured in Burwa, Himachal Pradesh, "The Gaddi Boy and His Goat" won the 2024 'Best of the iPhone Photography Award' thanks to photography by Manush Kalwari.

The best thing was that the photographer created his masterpiece without using the correct lens, ideal exposure, or any digital tricks. Manush Kalwari captured the winning photo with the least expensive Apple iPhone available in India- the iPhone SE. In the 17th Annual iPhone Photography Awards' 2024 Portrait Category, photographers from 140 different countries participated (Ippawards). The annual iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) have recognized some of the best images shot by people across the world from their iPhones for the last 17 years.
