The waste-to-art initiative started by SDMC shows us how junk can be reused in the most creative ways. Junks such as abandoned cars, wheels, engines, pipes, trolleys and swings in Delhi are used to create sculptors around the city.
10 artists from different parts of the country employed to transform 1,000 tonnes of junk into sculptors in the Millennial Park, New Delhi.
A few under construction works display a 'Rhino', 'Freedom', 'Man Going To Work', and 'A Dog'.
The first creation of this initiative was titled 'Delhi's Landmarks: A Fushion ' was showcased near the Terminal-3 IGI Airport. These sculptors were made out of iron sheets depicting Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and Lotus Temple and has been put up to welcome ASEAN summit delegates.
