Recently two sisters from Gujarat made history after summiting the Mount Everest together. It takes a great will power to achieve something monumental like this and with a strong state of mind, Aditi and Anuja climbed the earth’s highest mountain.
The sisters commenced their journey from Kathmandu on April 4 and reached the base camp on 12th of the same month. Completing the summit was not easy for Aditi and Anuja as hindrances did come in their way. There was a delay in their climb due to extreme weather changes in South Col and also because of the severe cyclone, Fani. But they surpassed every challenge and gave wings to their dreams.
The sisters had a strong passion for mountaineering right from their childhood and today they are smiling broadly after achieving what they had dreamt of since long. Happiness literally had no bounds for Aditi and Anuja’s parents as they told TOI: “We are on top of the world and proud of our daughters who have become the first sister duo and women from Gujarat to climb the world’s highest mountain. We could not do it but they fulfilled our dream.”
It would not have been possible for Aditi and Anuja to climb the Mount Everest without their parent’s support. Family is a great pillar of strength and its essential for parents to understand their child’s aspirations.
