Dharavi, the world’s largest slum with a population of around 700,000 has now brightened up with colours. The walls which were once covered with stains and looked dull are now attracting people. Beautiful murals have been drawn on the walls which now look nothing short of mesmerizing.
The paintings portray several themes and it took fifteen days for the artists to complete the murals. The tourists are in awe of them and are appreciating the work. One of the foreign visitors told India Today that the murals are a real work of art and he would love to see more of them.
The people of Dharavi collaborated with international artists to come up with such breathtaking and humongous paintings.
Several household enterprises in the Dharavi is known for giving jobs to many people from the slum. From leather products to pottery, it exports a lot of goods around the world and now with attractive paintings, the tourists have got another reason to visit the slum.
