"Dream, Dream, Dream! Conduct these dreams into thoughts, and then transform them into action."

Sadly, the taboos around breastfeeding still exist in our country. Mothers are taunted for breasting their child in public and the angry stares make it difficult for them to handle their hungry infants. But with time things are changing. Today private rooms are being built in airports and other places to let a mother feed her child in peace. Progression took another step ahead when a top official at the Archaeological Survey of India, Vasant Kumar Swarnkar said that a breastfeeding room will be introduced at the Iconic Taj Mahal by July. The majestic mausoleum will be the first heritage site in India to come up with something like this.
Not every mother gets a choice to breastfeed her baby privately when she heads out of her house. Being shamed for it is something unacceptable and alteration will come the day this social stigma gets erased for good.
In a conversation with Thomson Reuters Foundation, Vasant said once he spotted a lady who was struggling to breastfeed her infant on the stairs of Taj Mahal even after her husband covered her. He elaborated the scenario by stating: “I could see it was so difficult for her (to feed her child) which is a basic motherhood right. So I thought we have to do something.”
It will be a great world if private rooms are created for nursing mothers in each and every public place. And every one of us can live in peace if the unnecessary norms are abolished forever.
