For Sufiya Khan Running has a strong ability to evolve one’s mindset as it has done wonders to her life. The 33-year-old ultra-runner from Ajmer embarked on a mission to spread positivity on Thursday, she started running from Kashmir and her journey will conclude in Kanyakumari.
It has been said that Sufiya will run for more than 80 days and each day she will be covering a distance of about 50 km. In every city, she will be accompanied by cycling and running groups and during the journey she will try to meet and even connect with people. Sufiya’s fiancé, Vikas has also joined her who is known for setting a fantastic record of cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari within just ten days.
While discussing her motive behind the marathon, Sufiya told Rising Kashmir, “From city to city, new running groups will join me. My motive is to explore India and I kept the distance of 4000 km so that I can connect with more people and exchange positivity or else the distance from Kashmir to Kanyakumari is less than 3700 km.”
In 2018, Sufiya acquired the first position in a 52 km marathon held in Noida, we hope she gets to complete her journey with utmost satisfaction and generate a lot of positivity as the world needs it.
