Chef Vikas Khanna has made it to the list of Top 10 Chefs in the World by Gazette Review. With Gordon Ramsay leading Gazette Review's list, Khanna ranks sixth, ahead of well-known chefs like Anthony Bourdain and Alain Ducasse.
Khanna has also written Utsav, the most expensive cookbook in the world, which was auctioned at Rs 30 lakh. He gifted its gold-crusted 1,200-page limited edition to Queen Elizabeth II. He also heads Junoon , the Michelin-starred restaurant in New York.
Khanna, who is a well known name in the food business is the only Indian to have made it to the list. He took to Facebook to share his joy and thanked Gazette Review saying that he was humbled to be in 2017 ‘TOP 10 CHEFS IN THE WORLD’. Based out of New York, he made it to the list of People magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive in 2011, which also called him “The Hottest Chef of America”.
On December 2, 2010, Khanna started his restaurant Junoon which went on to be awarded a Michelin star in 2011 and for the next five years consecutively. This is the first time an Indian chef has received international acclaim.
