Commander Prerna Deosthalee and Commander Ishan Deosthalee, a sister and brother team, are simultaneously commanding two separate warships in the Indian Navy for the first time ever. 
Last year, Commander Prerna Deosthalee became the first female officer in the Indian Navy to be given command of a warship. She is currently in command of the INS Trinkat, a rapid attack craft.

The Indian Navy's Veer-class missile ship, INS Vibhuti, is currently under the command of her brother, Commander Ishan Deosthalee. Off the Arabian Sea coast of Goa, the ship Vibhuti was a part of the steam past presented to President Draupadi Murmu.  Under the Western Command, the brother and sister team are in charge of their respective battleships. 

On November 7, President Droupadi Murmu and Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, the Chief of Navy Staff, visited the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and saw an Indian Navy operational display. During her speech, President Murmu commended the strategic reach and capabilities of the Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy forces demonstrate their capabilities and strategic influence by being deployed over large territories for extended periods of time. Numerous lives have been saved at sea as a result of their proactive, optimistic, and prompt activities. When the Bulgarian president called to thank them for saving the Bulgarian crew from a hijacked ship earlier this year, it was a memorable occasion for them.
