In a remarkable development, a government school in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, has introduced the first-ever space lab in the region, aiming to ignite a passion for space exploration among students. Equipped with cutting-edge technology such as a high-tech telescope, ISRO rocket and satellite demonstration models, drones, and aircraft, the lab was inaugurated at the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys.
The unveiling of this pioneering space lab took place in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Devansh Yadav, and Chief Education Officer, Kishtwar, Prehlad Bhagat. Deputy Commissioner Yadav enthusiastically encouraged students to make the most of this groundbreaking facility, emphasizing its potential to deepen their understanding of space and inspire them to pursue careers in space sciences.
The space lab, developed under the ISRO space tutor program by Vyomika Space Academy and funded by the Directorate of Education Jammu, will provide students from classes 6 to 12 with skill development training sessions. Govind Yadav, the CEO of Vyomika Space Academy, shared insights into the lab's functionality, highlighting its capacity to inspire and enhance students' knowledge of space, science, and technology.
