Indian classical music witnessed a moment of exceptional grandeur when Pandit Ronu Majumdar, the acclaimed flautist from Mumbai, led a symphony of 546 musicians at the historic Gwalior Fort in Madhya Pradesh. This extraordinary performance earned a Guinness World Record, officially recognizing it as the largest symphony in the world to perform a single composition.

The symphony’s centerpiece was the composition Samvet, an intricate medley of three ragas: Miyan Malhar, Miyan ki Todi, and Darbari.

I am immensely grateful to them,” he added. Special thanks were also given to Richard Stenning of Guinness World Records, who traveled to Gwalior to present the official certificate.
