India’s fastest electric scooter, the Praise was launched on Tuesday. Okinawa launched the Praise after the Ridge which was its first electric scooter. The new scooter claims a top speed of 75kmph, which makes it fastest in the electric two-wheeler segment of the country.

The Praise costs around Rs 60,000 and offers the best-in-class range of 170-200km on a single charge.

According to the company, its products are focused on low initial cost, lower running cost, less maintenance cost and zero pollution. The charging system of the Praise is quite advanced as it is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery pack. The battery weighs  9kg and can be charged while fitted in the scooter as well as separately.

The battery takes just 45 minutes to store 80% of the energy. It has a lifespan of 2,000 cycles and the company is also providing 3-year replacement warranty on it.

The scooter has a high phase BLDC motor which is water resistant and comes with a few modes like Economy (35kmph), Sporty (65kmph) and Turbo (75kmph). The torque output of the motor ranges from 18Nm to 40Nm which ensures a quick acceleration.

The futuristic Okinawa Praise seems to be the most desirable option among the electric two-wheelers as it comes loaded with features like LED lights, a fully-digital instrument console, and adjustable brake levers. Running on large 12-inch wheels, the scooter has dual gas-charged rear shock-absorbers and telescopic front suspensions for a comfortable ride.
