The POP of the 131st  course of NDA was carried out on 29 November, 2016, Tuesday at Khadakwasla near Pune. Subhash Bhamre , Minister of State for Defence reviewed the passing out parade.

In all, 283 cadets completed the arduous training successfully and  passed out from the academy. This included 13 foreign cadets from the friendly countries including Tajikistan, Bhutan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. Out of this batch, 179 were from the Army, 35 from the Navy and 56 from the Air Force. who will now join their respective service academies  for further training.

While addressing the parade, Subhash Bhamre appreciated the cadets for their excellent turnout and crisp  drill movements. Various cadets won awards  including Academy Cadet Captain Chandrakant Acharya, Academy Cadet Adjutant Hemant Poonia and Squadron Cadet Captain Amarpreet Singh Dhatt

The parade was followed by a breathtaking fly past by Indian Air Force flying team.
