To impart the knowledge and increase interest among children about the traditional sports of India, Children Film Society of India are all set to make films on sports topic. With this initiative, it will be easier for children to know about the sports in an audio-visual way. It is entertainment cum education that makes it easier for children to understand about the sports.

Traditional sports form Maharashtra Mallakhamb will be one of the topics out of seven total movies to be made on the sports topic. Other movies will be on the sports like Kabaddi, Hockey, Football, Tennis, Basketball, Rugby.

This information was given by well- known actor Mukesh Sharma. Sharma also informed that Children Film Society of India is planning to rope in good producers and director to work for them. Therefore it is also possible for children’s movie to also be big budget movies; just like any Bollywood movie. Also, the society is now planning to take these children movies on an international platform.

Children Film Society of India is planning to increase the relation between north east film industry and others parts of India. Now three films from North-east will be dubbed in 13 different Indian languages. Also three movies in Mizo, Manipuri and Assamee language will be dubbed in Marathi. Further, 10 Hindi movies will be dubbed in six North-East languages.

This is surely a good move by Children Film Society of India to reduce the linguistic barriers between different state and reach the movie as medium to the entire nation.
