Now, Marathi will be taught in Uttar Pradesh’s universities. The decision was announced in the program organised on the occasion of Maharashtra Day which falls on May 1. Uttar Pradesh governor was present for the program and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced the new idea.
Speaking at the function in Lucknow, Adityanath said the UP government will develop facilities for teaching Marathi in universities of the state. According a release sent by Naik, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed by Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for cultural exchange.
This will be followed by signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for cultural exchange. The move will help to spread the knowledge of Marathi literature in UP universities. Those who wish to follow the language and how its intricacies in UP, this project will surely help them. IT is a good move for cultural exchange which is much needed across the states in India.
Naik is a former Member of Parliament (MP) from north Mumbai constituency. He was appointed as UP governor after Modi government was elected to power at the Centre in 2014.
