The Union Minister for road transport, highways and shipping gave a statement during the last week. According to which the Kumbh Mela of 2019 will have water transportation also.
As Yogi Adityanath had requested, the ministry would ensure that the facility of water transport will be enabled before Kumbh.
According to the Union minister plans are already in process to extend the Varanasi- Haldiya water transport facility.
This facility will not only reduce the traffic and chaos on streets during the Kumbh Mela but will also provide another transport access through the water.
