The Kerala Delhi Cultural Heritage Festival is all set to begin from October 14-16. The three-day festival is being organized by the Kerala government with support from the Delhi government. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal will share the stage at this festival which will be held in Delhi. The venues include Kerala House, NDMC Hall and Connaught Place Central Park.
Meenakshi Lekhi , MP from New Delhi will also be attending this festival. The Kerala Delhi Cultural Heritage Festival will conduct programmes on language, culture, tradition, art and literature. Earlier in April this year, Kejriwal and Vijayan had met at a breakfast following which the Delhi CM felt the need for more such meetings.
Apart from the cultural programmes that display the varied heritage of both the states, there will also be an exhibition of archaeology, archives and museums. C V N Kalari of Madhav Madom will give a demonstration of Kerala’s famous martial arts form, ‘Kalaripayattu’ on Sunday. The festival will also include ‘Poothapattu’ (visualization of a classic poem, Song about the demon), Kerala’s traditional dance, Mohiniyattam and Galaxy of Musicians. Paintings of Raja Ravi Varma will also be exhibited on the last day.
