At the recently held Ironman 70.3 challenge in Goa, India's Ketaki Agtey-Sathe made waves by placing first in the female 45–49 division. The Mumbai native finished the race in third place among all female competitors and 48th overall with a time of 5:51:05. At the triathlon, Ketaki was the fastest female runner on the course, averaging 5:21 minutes per kilometer.
According to Asian News International, competitors from all around the world competed in the fourth Ironman 70.3 on October 27. They swam 1.9 kilometers, cycled 90 kilometers, and ran 21.1 kilometers. About three kilometers from Panaji, at Miramar Beach, the race was flagged off.

For Ketaki, who has been running for more than 20 years, it has been a therapeutic release. In 2017, she started doing triathlons after competing in many marathons throughout the world. Ketaki competed in Ironman 70.3 Goa in 2019 as well, finishing second in her division.
Ketaki trained hard for the 2024 Ironman Goa for several months. "The preparation was done in a structured, phased manner for a couple of months," Ketaki said. It included strength training as well as 10 to 12 hours of training each week in all three disciplines. Ketaki juggled her rigorous schedule with her steadfast commitment to triathlon training, all while juggling her work in public relations and her responsibilities as a mother of two. To be able to prepare for an event like this, you need to be disciplined and fully dedicated to your training.

Ketaki's readiness and fortitude were evident at the Ironman 70.3 Goa, where she effectively distributed her mental and physical energies throughout every division. "It was about paying attention and being aware of the course's hydration and dietary requirements. To be able to finish strong, that was essential, she remarked.
"Winning my category and performing in the manner that I did at Ironman Goa is very prestigious because I'm pitting myself against international athletes across all age groups... So to stand 3rd in the open category at my age, and be the fastest runner amongst the women, it is quite commendable. So I'm very proud of myself. I'm very happy with my performance." ~ she said on her remarkable performance.
