New Delhi has become the epicentre of global security innovation as the International Police Expo 2026 opens its doors at Bharat Mandapam. Bringing together security agencies, policymakers, defence manufacturers and technology experts from more than 25 countries, the event offers a glimpse into the future of policing, homeland security and public safety.
Organised by Nexgen Exhibitions Private Limited, the expo is being held alongside the 10th India Homeland Security Expo and the 7th Drone International Expo, attracting over 10,000 participants, including senior police officers, defence personnel, technology developers and international delegates.
With more than 300 companies showcasing over 300 advanced technologies, the event has emerged as one of Asia’s most significant platforms for security innovation.
Among the biggest attractions at the expo is the Tyto sniper rifle, developed by SSS Defence. Designed specifically for precision operations in urban environments, the rifle symbolizes India's growing confidence in indigenous defence manufacturing.
Visitors and international delegations have flocked to witness the weapon system, which has been designed and developed entirely in India. Its presence at the expo reinforces the country's commitment to building world-class defence capabilities under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Another standout innovation is the Varaha Counter Drone System, which detects hostile drones through acoustic signatures rather than relying solely on traditional radio-frequency detection methods. The technology offers a new layer of protection against emerging aerial threats.
Artificial intelligence is a dominant theme throughout the exhibition. One of the most talked-about launches is India’s first AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle, unveiled by Indrajaal Drone Defence.
The mobile platform can detect, track and respond to drone threats while on the move, showcasing how AI is transforming modern security operations. From predictive policing and digital forensics to cyber intelligence and surveillance analytics, AI-powered systems are redefining how agencies prevent and respond to threats.
Companies such as Innefu Labs are demonstrating advanced platforms for intelligence gathering, OSINT analysis, digital investigations and predictive policing, highlighting the increasing convergence of technology and law enforcement.
The expo also features next-generation drone technologies from across the globe. Russian defence manufacturer Kalashnikov is showcasing the Garuda (SKAT 350 M) unmanned aerial vehicle, a high-altitude surveillance drone designed for challenging terrains and electronic warfare environments.
On the mobility front, AVNL’s Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle is drawing attention for its versatility in troop transport, reconnaissance and urban operations. Meanwhile, the Rakshita motorbike ambulance, jointly developed by DRDO and CRPF, demonstrates how innovation is improving emergency response capabilities in difficult terrain.
The event comes at a time when India’s defence sector is witnessing unprecedented growth. Defence exports surged to ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025-26, a remarkable jump from ₹23,622 crore the previous year.
The expo reflects this momentum, serving as a platform for technology transfer, strategic partnerships and international collaboration. As countries search for smarter, faster and more resilient security solutions, India is increasingly positioning itself as both an innovation hub and a trusted defence partner.
With AI-driven patrol vehicles, indigenous sniper rifles, futuristic drones and cyber intelligence platforms, International Police Expo 2026 offers a powerful glimpse into the technologies that could shape the next generation of global security.
