At the Asian Games in Hangzhou, India finally broke the 50-medal barrier while still chasing the 100-medal record.
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, India took 15 medals. There were numerous uplifting stories, such as the equestrian dressage team winning gold after 41 years and Sift Kaur Samra, who dropped out of the MBBS course to focus on shooting, winning gold in the women's 50m rifle three positions with a world record. Furthermore, the women's cricket team winning the trophy on its Asia debut should go a long way toward making cricket a worldwide sport.
It's clear that India's youthful stars have learned to adapt to the big stage and are charging ahead for a bright future. Badminton, squash, tennis, and golf have all made significant contributions to the spirit of sports in India. This accomplishment is actually motivating a lot of young blood around the country, acting as a light that will allow dedicated people to see in the dark.
The future of sports in the country is dependent on its administration if it is to accelerate growth and reach its full potential, given the abundance of resources in both people and money. In the future, athletic events could be organized democratically and include administrators with good intentions, allowing only for better athletes.
