Delhi has just unveiled a remarkable gem that seamlessly blends art, history, and recreation. Shaheedi Park, the nation's first outdoor museum, opened its gates to the public in a grand inauguration attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Sprawling across 4.5 acres, the park captures India's rich past, including the ancient, medieval, and modern chapters of our nation's narrative.

This park pays homage to the valiant heroes who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom and sovereignty, showcasing their stories across three distinct periods. The meticulously designed exhibits, spanning 3D and 2D sculptures, elegantly transport visitors through pivotal moments and cultures that have shaped the nation.

Crafted over six months by a team of 10 skilled artists and 700 dedicated artisans, the park stands as an awe-inspiring tribute to Waste to Art. Approximately 250 tonnes of scrap have been imaginatively transformed into stunning installations, including electric poles, vintage cars, and rickshaws, elegantly depicting India's glorious history.

The grand plan also boasts over 56,000 trees and shrubs, infusing greenery and tranquility into the heart of the city. Guests can also indulge in culinary delights at the food kiosk or acquire mementos from the souvenir shop.

The park welcomes visitors at an affordable entry fee - INR 100 for adults and INR 50 for children-  inviting young and old alike to immerse themselves in the tapestry of India's history. With its unique blend of art, culture, and recreation, Shaheedi Park has firmly cemented its place as a must-visit landmark, beckoning guests to journey through time and honor the heroes who shaped the nation's destiny.
