In a remarkable tale of resilience and determination, Diganta Das, a former daily wager from Assam, has defied all odds to start his own paratha startup, becoming an inspiring figure in the food business.

After leaving his village in 2001 in search of better opportunities, Diganta worked tirelessly in various roles, from laborer and cook to security guard and coal mine worker. However, his journey took a tragic turn when he was paralyzed in an accident in 2017.

Undeterred by adversity, Diganta returned to his village and, with the help of a friend, established Daily Fresh Food (DFF), a packaged paratha business, in Assam in 2022. Despite initially facing challenges in introducing the South Indian culinary delight to the northeastern state, Diganta's perseverance paid off.

Today, his parathas, known for their authentic Malabar culinary experience with their crispy, flaky, soft, and multi-layered texture, have gained immense popularity. With a minimum daily sale of 1,500 paratha packets, Diganta's business is thriving.
